The entire process is done by hand to create the one and only mask in the world.
The entire process is done by hand to create the one and only mask in the world.

1. Clay molding of the mask prototype

Check the fit using a wire or other means to ensure that it fits the shape of the face. Then, clay was used to shape the head.
We were particular about everything from the shape of the base to the accessories so that the head itself would not be too large and would look more like a dog from any angle.
The photo shows the shape of the prototype, which is different from the actual product.

2. A silicon mold is made based on the prototype, and the base head is created by hand.

Special materials are added for strength and thickness.
Each piece is formed completely by hand. The molded product is cut out using a heat gun, heat cutter, etc.
We are unable to provide detailed information on the method of production or materials used.

3. Hinge for movable mouth, hair and hat detachable parts, spring, head size & chin adjustment parts are set on the head.

Since it is basically designed for video shooting, we repeated a lot of prototyping for stability of attachment.
Two springs are used inside to open and close the mouth, but they can be replaced by the user.
The mechanism to fix the head can also be easily replaced, so it should be able to withstand long-term use.
The spring used in the photo is from the prototype stage and differs from the production specifications.
We cannot answer in detail, but we are confident in the comfort and stability of the product. The photo shows the shape of the prototype and differs from the production product.

4. The eye color and flesh are processed and attached to the base according to the image of the dog.

(We will consult with the client and make a proposal.)
The spring and eye specifications in the photo are prototypes and differ from the production specifications.
The eye specifications in the photo are from the prototype stage and differ greatly from the production specifications (movable eyelids).
The movable eyelids change the expression of the eyes and face significantly, and may be said to be the greatest feature of this mask.
It was quite difficult to work on, and we are still improving it.

5. Sew the faux fur to match the dog and attach.

Sew the three-dimensionally cut faux fur together using a lock sewing machine and a single sewing machine.
Depending on the breed of dog, black fur (faux fur) may be added, or mixed gray or mixed colors may be painted from white in advance. (We will consult with the client for suggestions).
There are various types of hairs, such as hair that is as close to animal hair as possible, hair that looks more beautiful, and hair in various colors.
The hair is made of fake fur.

6. Trimming with clippers.

This is the trimming process, also known as the second modeling.
Unlike actual dogs, the nape of the neck and around the face are cut longer to hide the joints.
Unlike human hair, it is difficult to trim, so a special hair clipper is used.
It takes a lot of time and nerve because it is impossible to make mistakes.

7. Attachment of fangs, tongue, and whiskers.

The upper tusk is not made because it is not visible due to the structure. (This is where the small fan will be installed.)
If upper fangs are attached, the small fan will be removed.

The tongue is made of a special material that is elastic and stretchable, and can be moved forward or sideways to create facial expressions.
Fangs and gums can be made in beautiful colors or stained to meet your requests.
The photo shows before spray painting.

8. Paint around faux fur, nose, eyes and mouth.

To make it look realistic, use multiple colors of shading paint. The same white or black paint will look different. (We will consult with the client and make suggestions.)
This process makes the work look very realistic.
Eyes, mouth, ears, etc. If too much paint is applied, the animal will look more animal-like, so I think it is a good idea to keep the coloring low.
However, if the doggie is white, we recommend shading with white pearl or matte white color in bright areas.

9. Small fan installation.

Although it is attached to the upper jaw, it is easily detachable and can be handled by yourself in case of malfunction.
USB charger is required separately.

This is a must-have item since it gets quite hot in the mask during the summer. It is possible to replace the fan with another small fan by yourself.

10. Hair attachment. *Cap adapter (optional)

The head base is equipped with a function that allows easy detachment of hair. Simple hair is included in the basic set.
Hair with a wig will incur an additional charge.

The hair comes with a shape-memory mid-bone that can be swept slightly to the side or stood up to create a Mohawk look or other movement.
A hat detachable adapter can be ordered for an additional charge, which allows the hat to be sewn onto the fur of the head or easily detached without pins.
Both of the above can be removed immediately when not in use, so you can enjoy various looks.

11. After completion, we will send the work to the client for confirmation with photos and video, and after confirming payment of the remaining amount.

*We will also charge you for the shipping fee when you pay the balance.

The ears, eyelids, and tongue are movable, and together with the mouth that moves in conjunction with the jaw, the figure can be made expressive.

*The photos of the above work contents are mainly of prototypes and are different from the actual production specifications.

The work is all done by hand, using special materials, and involves a considerable number of steps, so it is expensive, but
I think it has become something interesting that cannot be bought elsewhere, made through quite a bit of trial and error.

We are also trying to communicate with people overseas by e-mail somehow to provide masks.
We hope you and your dog will have a memorable and exciting time. We look forward to your order!
